Bit profile

A drill, as its name implies, is a tool used for drilling or reaming holes. This kind of drill is usually made of metal material and is used to drill through or blind holes in solid materials.

A drill bit comprises a cutter rod (1) having a tip with two cutting blades (5, 5 ') located on a main plane (C-C), and the cutting blades (5, 5 ') having short central cutting blades oriented on a common second plane (E-E). The blade forms a point-like central cutting edge for entering the workpiece and thereby centering the drill bit. On the knife rod, two chip discharge grooves (6, 6 ') are arranged, and the chip discharge grooves (6, 6 ') extend from the tip to the end. In any section along the cutter bar, the chip groove is located in the radial relative position of each other on the pipe plane, the pipe plane and the two common blade belt plane (F-F) on both sides of the pipe into 90° extension, the cutter bar has the maximum rigidity in the plane. The orientation of the second plane of the central cutting blade (E-E) is approximately 90° to the main rigid direction (F-F) of the edge band plane or the bottom end of the cutter shank.
